Un-officelike: breaking the corporate norm
100 Walker Street
100 Walker Street is a new 45-storey hybrid timber tower set amongst the locale’s evolving skyline, and presents a more holistic lifestyle in place of a traditional workstyle.
The podium is composed with human-scaled volumes to echo the historic subdivision of the site. Hospitality spaces activate the podium day and night, and a new pedestrian laneway with restaurants and bars extends through to the Victoria Cross Metro Station.
Tower forms are separated by unique double-height ‘village deck’ spaces which foster community through amenity, acting as premium, bookable front-of-house spaces ideal for events, meetings, staff training or as breakouts for teams. Spaces are designed with comfort in mind and incorporate hospitality features such as a bar and lounge space to make them appealing places for tenants. Each level of the tower has access to natural ventilation and can be vertically interconnected.

100 Walker Street offers exceptional commercial and amenity spaces that complement each other to create an on-site ecosystem and community. The design prioritises elements that haven’t traditionally been a focal point in commercial high rises, including generous public space, social connectivity, wellbeing and sustainability. Bringing these together allows the building to break free from the corporate norm of single use, stacked offices, and position 100 Walker Street as a place where people can work, connect and take part in everyday life.
